Bev Carter is as wrong as Nick Lampson

Below is the text of an e-mail I received this morning (Thanksgiving day) from Fort Bend Star publisher Bev Carter. Take a look at when she sent it -- 1:06 a.m.!!

Note the name of this site which I created to show just how wrong Bev and Mark Bankston are. ANYONE can create a site and call it Save our Schools.

This woman is more that just a little off balance.

If that was not you, how do you explain the posting from "Save our Schools" that was captured by Google. It is impossible for that to be anyone else and I think Mark Bankston pretty well explained that.

Why are you denying it so vehemently? Are you ashamed of supporting Hrbacek? Or are you ashamed of trying to make it look like you weren't really supporting anyone.

You silly cow. Anyone reading that blog could tell it was you by the tone and syntax. Of course, you quickly turned it over to Hrbacek's campaign workers since you had goofed from the beginning. I just hope those guys list it as a campaign contribution. We'll all be watching.

This is the e-mail I sent back to Bev:

Bev --Really? Lawrence Baitland is your source?

Mark Bankston is wrong and you don't know what you're talking about.

Go to www.saveaschool.blogspot.com

Anyone can set up a site titled "Save our schools."I don't know how or why that google alert was created, however, I will reiterate. I am not the author of the cd22watcher blog and I don't know who is.

In your zeal to play a juvenile game of "gotcha" you, apparently, have fallen for either a hoax or a mistake. You didn't bother to call me to verify anything. You really don't KNOW anything, do you?

Will you print a retraction or not?

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too.

Liz Mitton

Re the retraction: I'm not holding my breath.
